The Thailand Polo Association recently hosted the grand final of Asia’s biggest polo tournament, the 4th All Asia Cup 2018, on January 12. This final match, hosted at VS Sports Club in Samut Prakan, excited the crowd with a head-to-head final between Thailand and the Philippines, in which Thailand snatched the trophy with an 8.5 to 6 scoreline. The opening ceremony was presided over by Maj Gen Charouck Arirachakaran, vice-president and secretary general of the Thailand National Olympic Committee, together with Kanoksakdi Bhinsaeng, president of the Thailand Polo Association. The tournament was capped off with an extravagant, celebrity-studded evening event under the theme “Odyssey to the Orient”, which included trophy parades, Chinese dragon dance and performances. Proceeds were donated to charity organizations and their projects for the betterment of Thai society.
